Pajareando por el valle del Tiétar. Birding through Tiétar Valley.

Esta semana os muestro algunas aves vistas en el Valle del Tiétar durante dos visitas que realizamos recientemente.
This week I show you some Birds seen in the Tietar Valley during two visits we have recently done.

El principal objetivo del viaje era contemplar a las recién llegadas grullas comunes (Grus grus) en las dehesas y campos circundantes. Había bastantes pero menos que el año anterior por estas mismas fechas.
The main purpose of the trip was to watch at the newcomers Common Cranes (Grus grus) in dehesas and surrounding fields. There were many but less than the previous year at the same dates.

En ambos días el tiempo fue muy bueno si bien demasiado calor para la época del año en la que hicimos las visitas.
On both days weather was very good but too hot for the time of year when we made the visits.

Primer viaje:
First trip:



Milano real (Milvus milvus).
Red Kite.



Éste debía tener un ojo malo pues lo tenía cerrado.
This one should had a sick eye because It had it closed.



Vimos varios elanios comunes (Elanus caeruleus) y como es usual en ellos muy desconfiados.
We saw several Bblack-winged Kites and as it is usual in them very distrustful.



De todos modos es un ave que siempre emociona con su presencia.
Anyway it is a Bird that always excited with its presence.



Abubilla común (Upupa epops).
Eurasian Hoopoe.



Macho de tarabilla europea (Saxicola rubicola).
Male of Common Stonechat.



Alcaudón real meridional (Lanius meridionalis).
Southern Grey Shrike.



A esta ave ya os la he presentado antes.
I have had shown this Bird to you before.





Al medio día decidimos acercarnos al cercano Parque Ornitológico de Arrocampo. Como era de esperar vimos varios calamones comunes (Porphyrio porphyrio).
At noon we decided to approach the nearby Arrocampo Ornithological Park. As expected we saw several Purple Swamp-hen.





Cistícola buitrón (Cisticola juncidis).
Zitting Cisticola.



Cetia ruiseñor (Cettia cetti).
Cetti's Warbler.



Aguilucho lagunero occidental (Circus aeruginosus).
Eurasian Marsh Harrier.



Ánade friso (Anas strepera).
Gadwall.



Y a este escribano triguero (Miliaria calandra).
And this Corn Bunting.



Poco después volvimos al lugar del comienzo de la excursión para seguir disfrutando de las Grullas comunes (Grus grus).
Shortly after we returned to the start point of the tour to continue enjoying with the Common Cranes.









También había muchas avefrías europeas (Vanellus vanellus).
There were also many Northern Lapwings.





Vimos bastantes jabalíes (Sus scrofa) machos que salían de los matorrales a comer bellotas.
We saw many Wild Boars males that were coming out of the bushes to eat acorns.





Y también varios ciervos rojos (Cervus elaphus).
And also several Red Deers.





Buitre negro (Aegypius monachus).
Black Vulture.



Buitre leonado (Gyps fulvus).
Griffon Vulture.



Más grullas comunes (Grus grus).
More Common Cranes.





Y cuando regresábamos a Madrid vimos a este otro elanio común (Elanus caeruleus) con su cena el sus garras.
And while we were returning to Madrid we saw this other Black-shouldered Kite with dinner in its claws.

Segundo viaje:
Second trip:

Durante este segundo día, además de las aves que habíamos visto en el primero, se sumaron a la lista las gangas ortegas (Pterocles orientalis) y los sisones comunes (Tetrax tetrax).
During this second day, besides the Birds we had seen in the first one, they joined the list Black-bellied Sandgrouses and Little Bustards.



Gorrión común (Passer domesticus).
House Sparrow.



Los elanios comunes (Elanus caeruleus) no faltaron a la cita.
Black-shouldered Kites did not miss the appointment.





Algunas grullas comunes (Grus grus) estaban en el mismo campo del día anterior.
Some Common Cranes were in the same field than the previous day.







Los jóvenes del año entre sus progenitores.
Juveniles of the year between their parents.



Gangas ortega (Pterocles orientalis).
Black-bellied Sandgrouses.



Hembra de tarabilla europea (Saxicola rubicola).
Female of Common Stonechat.



Vimos un grupo de unos 20 sisones comunes (Tetrax tetrax) aunque eran difíciles de contar debido a las altas hierbas y a que estaban muy separados.
We saw a group of about 20 Little Bustard although they were difficult to count because of the tall grass and they were split.









Mochuelo europeo (Athene noctua).
Little Owl.



Macho de colirrojo tizón (Phoenicurus ochruros).
Male of Black Redstart.



Busardo ratonero (Buteo buteo).
Common Buzzard.



Esta seta apagador (Macrolepiota procera) llamó nuestra atención por su gran tamaño.
This Parasol Mushroom caught our attention because of its huge size.



Había muchos petirrojos europeos (Erithacus rubecula).
There were many European Robins.



Otro bando de grullas comunes (Grus grus). Vimos más bandos que en el viaje anterior.
Another flock of common cranes. We saw more groups than in the previous trip.







Este roquero solitario (Monticola solitarius) no quiso ponerse a favor del sol para que le vieseis en todo su esplendor.
This Blue Rock Thrush did not want to get good light for you to watch him in all its glory.



Mosquitero musical (Phylloscopus trochilus).
Willow Warbler.



Lavandera cascadeña (Motacilla cinerea).
Grey Wagtail.



Estas grullas comunes (Grus grus) estaban muy cerca de donde estábamos.
These Common Cranes were very close to where we were.



Una belleza.
A beauty.



Los dos jóvenes de este año estaban con sus progenitores.
The two juveniles of this year were with their parents.



Y para finalizar la jornada decidimos ir a ver el atardecer cerca de los grupos de grullas para escuchar la berrea, muy tardía por cierto, y ver algunos venados y jabalíes.
And to end the day we decided to go to see the sunset close where we were and to listen  the rutting of the Red Deers, very late indeed, and see some of them and Wild Boars.
