En esta ocasión os muestro un viaje a Toledo para ver aves esteparias. El próximo 10 de marzo tenemos otra salida a este mismo lugar para los que quieran disfrutar con el avistamiento de estas maravillosas aves. 

On this occasion I show you a trip to Toledo to see steppe Birds. Next March 10 we have another tour to this same place for those who want to enjoy sighting of these awesome Birds.

El día fue muy bueno si bien había mucha evaporación y las fotos no son todo lo buenas que deberían haber sido.

The day was very good although there was a lot of evaporation and the photos are not as good as they should have been.

Nada más llegar vimos este grupo de avutardas comunes (Otis tarda).

Upon arrival we saw this group of Great Bustards.

A lo largo de la jornada vimos bastantes calandrias (Melanocorypha calandra).

Throughout the day we saw quite a few Calandra Larks.

Perdiz roja (Alectoris rufa).

Red-legged Partridge.

Vimos tres bandos de gangas ortegas (Pterocles orientalis).

We saw three flocks of Black-bellied Sandgrouses.

En esta foto se puede apreciar que hay dos machos y una hembra.

In this photo you can see that there are two males and a female.

Busardo ratonero (Buteo buteo).

Common Buzzard.

Y enseguida localizamos a esta numerosísima concentración prenupcial de sisones comunes (Tetrax tetrax) y entre ellos algunas gangas ibéricas (Pterocles alchata).

And quite soon we spoted this numerous pre-nuptial concentration of Little Bustards and among them some 

Pin-tailed Sandgrouses.

Imposible hacer una foto de todos los ejemplares que había en el grupo.

It was impossible to take a picture of all the specimens that were in the flock.

Veis lo que os decía en cuanto a la refracción del terreno. Se les veía muy bien pero cuando acercabas el zoom se notaba mucho.

You see what I was telling you about the refraction of the terrain. They looked very good but when you zoomed in it was noticeable.

Estuvieron un buen rato volando de un lado para otro pues pasó un aguilucho pálido (Circus cyaneus).

They were a long time flying from one place to another as a Hen Harrier passed by.

Después de bastante tiempo observando el bando de sisones comunes (Tetrax tetrax) continuamos con el recorrido previsto. Una paraje de mochuelos europeos (Athene noctua).

After some time watching the flock of Little Bustards we continue with the planned route. A pair of Little Owls.

Entre las avefrías europeas (Vanellus vanellus) se podían ver algunos chorlitos dorados europeos (Pluvialis apricaria).

Among Northern Lapwing you could see some European golden plovers.

Vimos muchas avutardas comunes (Otis tarda).

We saw many Great Bustards.

Tres de los bandos eran especialmente numerosos. Dos tenía más de 90 y el otro más de 130 pero demasiado lejos para fotografiarlas.

Three of the flock were especially numerous. Two had more than 90 and the other more than 130 but too far to be photographed.

Además de las gangas ibéricas (Pterocles alchata) que vimos entre el gran bando de sisones comunes (Tetrax tetrax) vimos otras cuantas más.

In addition to the Pin-tailed Sandgrouses that we saw among the large group of Little Bustards we saw some others.

Preciosas aves.

Beautiful birds.

En estas dos fotos hay tres hembras y tres machos.

In these two photos there are three females and three males.

Este fue el mayor bando.

This was the biggest flock.

Y con estas fotos de alcaudones reales meridionales (Lanius meridionalis) me despido de todos vosotros hasta la próxima entrada.
